WW Buttermilk Flax Seed Bread



Bread Machine Method: (for mixing & rising the dough before shaping & oven baking)

1½ TB raw sugar
  ½ TB sea salt (yes, that's a half Tablespoon - not teaspoon)
  ¼  c canola oil
  1  c  hot (120º - 130º) buttermilk* (see 'alternates' note below)

1½ c unbleached white bread flour
 ½ c whole wheat flour (or WW bread flour)
  ¼ c ground flax seed
  ¼ tsp baking soda

 2  tsp  yeast

(additional 2-4 TB water as needed to make an elastic, non-sticky dough)

*Alternates for buttermilk:
1 c milk +1 TB apple cider vinegar
              -OR-
1/3 c pwdr milk + 1 c water +1 TB vinegar




(I know, I know.. I've just got to get back to this famous mama baker bread recipe & finish typing out the directions. Maybe someday when I'm done filling orders for it ;)
